The Arch Nouveau
The Arch Nouveau is a departure from the traditional f-hole style archtop. The sound ports in the side allow the player to really hear the guitar. The sound ports also increase the overall bass response and reduce feedback when played through an amplifier. The absence of sound holes in the top does not decrease the volume. It is a popular misconception that the sound emanates only from the sound holes. I have found that the sound comes mainly from the surfaces. The result is a well balanced and structurally improved instrument.
The Arch Nouveau is offered with figured maple bindings, rosewood or ebony fittings and a range of colors. It is available in 16, 17 and 18 inch body widths.
